Can You Smell It?
Propane smells like rotten eggs, a skunk’s spray, or a dead animal.
If You Smell Gas...
- SHUT OFF THE GAS AT THE TANK.
- LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY!
- REPORT THE LEAK.
- DO NOT RETURN TO THE AREA.
- GET YOUR SYSTEM CHECKED.
Symptoms of CO poisoning:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath
- Nausea
You can’t taste or smell CO (Carbon Monoxide), but it is a very dangerous gas, produced when any fuel burns. If you suspect CO is present, act immediately!
